It supports practical training in the various disciplines of (digital) biology and medicine and aims to provide students with skills in the following areas:

  • Integration and analysis of complex biomedical data
  • Personalisation of medicine
  • Digitalisation of the healthcare infrastructure

Goals and idea

The Digital Medicine Laboratory aims to be a meeting point for all THI students with an interest in the life sciences and healthcare, and to accompany them from the basic subjects of biology and medicine through biomedical image and data analysis to the systems biology modelling of molecular processes. It aims to offer lecturers a low-threshold opportunity to teach practical content through real or virtual experiments.

The lab also provides insights into the digital transformation of the healthcare system. It offers insights into the digital infrastructure of hospital information systems and allows research into their safety-critical aspects using various demonstrators.

Applications
