Dr Hans Georg Arnswald is currently Senior Vice President for Business Development & Strategy, Digital Industries, responsible for strategy development and implementation in the area of sales in the Germany region.
Prior to this role, he held numerous leading positions within the Siemens Group, with a focus on the automation and software environment, including as Head of Strategy for the Digital Factory/Digital Industries division, responsible for the division's global strategy development, global M&A projects, strategic projects and global optimisation programmes. During this time, he developed the Digital Enterprise strategy, which aims to accelerate the digital transformation of companies by using products, solutions and services to connect the real and digital worlds.
In other functions, he was responsible for the conception and implementation of global growth, cost reduction and quality programmes for the global industrial business.
He gained international experience as commercial manager of the automation business in Singapore/ ASEAN and as M&A project manager with numerous assignments in the USA, Italy and other European countries.
Georg Arnswald began his professional career as a strategy consultant at KPMG, where he first became involved with electronic marketplaces in the banking and insurance sector.
At THI Business School, he is a lecturer on the bachelor's degree programme in marketing.
Dr Arnswald's academic roots lie at the University of Bayreuth, where he was awarded his doctorate in business taxation and auditing by Prof Dr Jochen Sigloch at the University of Bayreuth.
Georg Arnswald is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
