Workshop on the future of drone defence

How can drone attacks be recognised and fended off more effectively in the future? This question will be addressed in the workshop "Start-up Opportunities: Future Drone Defence", which will take place on the 11th of December 2025 from 1 to 6.30 pm in the brigk Makerspace at Kavalier Dalwigk.

Start-ups, industry representatives and researchers working in the field of defence or dual-use technologies are invited to attend. The focus is on the interaction of modern technologies and system architectures for defence against unmanned aerial vehicles (counter-UAS).

In working groups, the participants will develop solutions on the topics of reconnaissance, battle management and impact. The workshop offers space for professional exchange and the development of joint project ideas between young companies, research institutions and established players.

The event is being organised by Professor Dr Gerhard Elsbacher from the Technology Transfer Center Unmanned Flight Systems at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt in Manching and Dr Franz Glatz, Head of brigkAIR - Centre for Three-Dimensional Mobility. Interested parties can apply until 1 December 2025. Further information is available at brigk.digital.
