Think future, shape change - the Future Navigator starts on July 17th

Uncertain markets, technological upheaval, social change - anyone doing business today needs orientation and a clear view of the future. On July 17th at noon, the Bavarian Foresight Institute, together with the "Future" transfer room of the "Mensch in Bewegung" knowledge transfer project, will present a new tool for small and medium-sized enterprises in an online event: the Future Navigator.

This free, interactive website visualises current trends, helps to assess future developments and shows how concrete strategies can be developed from them. It is easy to access, intuitive to use and highly beneficial. Developed for small and medium-sized companies, the tool offers a structured way of dealing with future issues systematically and with manageable effort.

At its centre is an AI-supported chatbot that can be used to record and store industry-specific developments and trends in a targeted manner. Building on this, a scenario game invites users to play through various futures - open-ended, creative and practical. Finally, users can derive clear options for action that can be directly applied to their own business model.

Foresight, for a long time primarily a topic for large companies, is thus also becoming tangible for smaller companies. Based on scientific expertise, but consistently application-orientated, the Future Navigator closes an important gap in the strategic toolbox of SMEs.

At the online launch, Professor Jan Oliver Schwarz and Dr Gerhard Schönhofer will give a guided tour of the platform, present practical use cases and show how the tool can be put to good use in day-to-day operations.
