Our services for you

We support international full-time students from their admission to the end of their studies with the following services:

  • Onboarding of students with online and email counselling before arrival in Germany (possible topics: documents for visa, health insurance, etc.)
  • Online session shortly after admission (August & September, February & March) to answer all questions (possible topics: Arrival, health insurance, tips for finding accommodation, finding your schedule, etc.)
  • Mentoring for international degree-seeking students
  • Orientation week for degree students with various introductory events (incl. cooperation events with municipal offices and other partners)
  • German courses at various entry levels at the THI
  • Events and excursions as well as company tours
  • Language support programmes (possible formats: language café, language games evening, etc.)
  • Individual study counselling
  • Advanced training in the area of study management and success
  • Networking events with German students and companies
  • Career coaching: further education workshops, CV writing courses, CV check and introduction to the German labour market, tips for entering the labour market
  • Support for other questions (if we cannot help: referral to the right organisations)

You can find us at the ServicePoint in building J on the ground floor. Please use the South entrance: the International Welcome Center can be reached Monday to Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm.
